This adapter will be useful for those who install a new aftermarket radio instead of the standard one on Toyota and Lexus cars with standard cameras working using the GVIF protocol. Such cameras have been commonly installed on cars since 2005 and stopped being used in most models in 2013. If your car is equipped with one rear view camera using GVIF technology, it is economically to purchase it to retain your camera, but please note there would be loss of the reversing trajectory.
